Return Policy

Last updated September 2, 2026

This policy covers equipment you purchase outright. Leased and rented equipment are returned or bought out under the terms of your lease or rental agreement instead, not this policy.

30-day return window

You may return purchased equipment within 30 days of delivery. The return window starts on the delivery date shown on your invoice, not the order date.

Condition and restocking fee

Equipment must be returned unmodified, in its original condition, with all accessories, cables and documentation it shipped with. Returns are subject to a 15 percent restocking fee, deducted from your refund.

Return shipping

Return freight is at the customer's expense. Equipment must be returned by mail or freight carrier to our Minneapolis location; we do not currently offer prepaid return labels. Contact us before shipping anything back so we can confirm the return and provide an address and any packaging guidance for the specific model.

What is not returnable

Toner, drums and other consumables are non-returnable once opened. Equipment configured, installed or networked to a customer's specific environment (custom scan workflows, print server integration) is evaluated case by case, since reconditioning cost can exceed the restocking fee.

Refurbished equipment

The same 30-day window and 15 percent restocking fee apply to refurbished units. Refurbished equipment carries a 90-day parts and labor warranty from delivery, separate from the return window.

How to start a return

Email [email protected] or call 612-254-6229 with your invoice number and the reason for the return. We will confirm eligibility and next steps within one business day.

Warranty claims are separate

A defective unit under manufacturer or JR Copier of Minnesota warranty is a warranty claim, not a return - see our terms of service for warranty coverage, or request service directly.

This policy is a starting point drafted for a general audience. Have counsel review it against your actual supplier agreements and Minnesota consumer protection law before publishing.
